Sportspersons often have tall children

A clear indication that height is hereditary is the fact that most of children of sports persons are fairly tall. On 4 July 2017, a television channel was carrying the story of how a 8 year old was 6 feet 7 inches tall, making him the tallest 8 year old in the world. His mother was a national level basketball player, with a height of 7 feet 4 inches.
Similarly the indian olympic silver medallist P.V. Sindhu is far taller than most indian women. However the media does not carry the news that both her mother and father were national level volleyball players and her father was also the india volleyball coach, clearly indicating that height is due to hereditary factors and it is unfair to discriminate against people who are short.
